 NYT Farm is located in Clarendon, NC in Columbus County. We are south of Whiteville, east of Tabor City, and north-west of Nakina.

NYT stands for "Not Your Traditional" Farm. 

We, at NYT Farm, grow our microgreens in-doors under grow lights. This allows us to more easily maintain the optimal environment for our plant to grow and thrive, while protecting them from harmful pests. Also, by growing in-doors, we know our microgreens are Grown Organically.

Microgreens are vegetables, herbs, and edible flowers grown from seeds and harvested at the seedling stage when they have only their seed leaves before their true leaves develop. Even though they're small, these plants pack a big, bold flavor. 

Microgreens and sprouts look very similar and are both seedlings, just different stages of the plants growing process. The difference are, Microgreens are grown in soil, typically eaten fresh, and the seed leaves and stem are the only part of the plant eaten. Sprouts are often grown without soil and eaten roots and all.

"Organically grown" food is food grown and processed using no synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Pesticides derived from natural sources (such as biological pesticides) may be used in producing organically grown food.

"Grown to order" means, we do not start grow our microgreens until we have an order for them. We strive to provide you with the freshest and tastiest microgreens possible. To be able to do that, the microgreens you order are grown specifically for you. When placing an order please allow for about a 2 week grow time.

Our “Micro Subscription” is a way for you to bundle and save when purchasing 4 or more of our Microgreens on a regular basis (every week, every 2 weeks, or once a month).

Mix and match 4 or more Microgreens and save with our Micro Subscription. Micro Subscriptions start at $20 for 4 Microgreens (each additional Microgreen is $5) and your entire order will be delivered to your door step every week, every 2 weeks, or once a month. Our Micro Subscription is a reoccurring order of a minimum of 4 Microgreens delivered to you at the frequency you set when setting up your Micro Subscription (Every week, every 2 weeks, or once a month).
